Disassembly of Generator Mounting Bracket
Remove the generator mounting bracket directly from the cylinder block. During operation, attention should be paid to avoiding damage to the connection part between the bracket and the cylinder block to ensure the fit during subsequent reinstallation.
Oil Cooler Disassembly
- If there is a heater element installed on the cooler shell and cover plate, it should be removed first.
- Remove the cooler cover and cooler shell. When removing the cooler shell, it should be pulled straight out of the cylinder block to get out of the way of the oil delivery pipe.
- The oil delivery pipes on the shell and cylinder block are sealed with O-rings. After removing the oil delivery pipes, the O-rings should be discarded to prevent poor sealing caused by using aged O-rings in subsequent use.
Exhaust Manifold Disassembly
The exhaust manifold can be disassembled as a whole or in sections. During disassembly, attention should be paid to protecting the flange surface of the manifold to avoid deformation affecting the sealing performance during subsequent installation.
Mounting the Engine on the Overhaul Stand
- Attach the ST-1307 engine stand support to the 3375193 engine overhaul stand. Note that the ST-548 engine overhaul stand is not suitable for the “K” type engine.
- Use the ST-1258 lifting frame, two ST-1286 lifting lugs and a suitable lifting hoist to place the engine on the stand support. Tighten the screws alternately starting from the middle to firmly mount the engine on the support. During the installation process, ensure that the engine is placed stably to avoid tilting.
