Oil Cooler Disassembly

1. If there is a heater element installed on the cooler shell and cover plate, it should be removed first.
2. Remove the cooler cover and cooler shell. When removing the cooler shell, it should be pulled straight out of the cylinder block to get out of the way of the oil delivery pipe.
3. The oil delivery pipes on the shell and cylinder block are sealed with O-rings. After removing the oil delivery pipes, the O-rings should be discarded to prevent poor sealing caused by using aged O-rings in subsequent use.
