Camshaft Disassembly
- Remove the camshaft rear cover at the rear of the cylinder block, and fix the ST-1313 camshaft guide rod to the rear end of the camshaft.
- Straighten the lock washer and remove the screws that fasten the camshaft thrust plate to the cylinder block.
- When removing the camshaft and guide rod from the cylinder block, rotate the camshaft gear and lift it slightly. Since the camshaft is long, two people may be required to cooperate during removal to avoid damaging the shaft and bushing.
- Remove the camshaft guide rod (ST-1313), but do not remove the camshaft gear.
Turning Device Disassembly
- Remove the retainer ring on the turning shaft.
- Pull out the shaft and remove the spring and worm wheel at the same time.
- Remove the turning shaft guide sleeve assembly. During disassembly, attention should be paid to the installation position of each component to facilitate subsequent assembly.
Oil Pump Disassembly
- Remove the three screws that fasten the pump body to the cylinder block.
- Remove the oil pump from the cylinder block. If it is difficult to remove the oil pump, a small pry bar may be used for assistance, but attention should be paid to avoiding damage to the pump body and cylinder block.
- Remove the sealing ring between the pump body and the cylinder block, and discard the sealing ring and O-ring to prevent oil leakage caused by using aged seals in subsequent use.
