Cylinder Head Disassembly
The cylinder head is assembled with the cylinder block using positioning pins. Remove the screws, lift the cylinder head upward from the cylinder block, get out of the way of the positioning pins, and discard the cylinder head gasket. A single rocker arm chamber and cylinder head can be disassembled at the same time, following the above steps for disassembling the rocker arm chamber.
Cam Follower Disassembly
Remove the screws that fix the cam follower to the cylinder block, and remove the shaft from the positioning sleeve. During disassembly, attention should be paid to preventing the screws from falling into the engine.
Fan Hub (Gear-driven) Disassembly
- Remove the screws that fix the fan hub to the front gear chamber cover.
- Pull the fan hub assembly forward until the gears are disengaged. Keep it stable during pulling to avoid gear collision and damage.
Generator Drive Pulley Disassembly
The generator drive pulley is installed on the water pump drive shaft. Use the ST-647 puller to remove the pulley from the shaft. During operation, ensure that the puller is fixed firmly to prevent the pulley from falling off suddenly.
