Disassembly of Rocker Arm and Rocker Arm Chamber Cover
- Remove the rocker arm chamber cover.
- Loosen the lock nuts of the valve and fuel injector adjusting screws, and back out the adjusting screws to remove the pressing force on the tappets.
- The rocker arm shaft is installed on the top of the rocker arm chamber, and a positioning sleeve is installed under one screw. When removing the rocker arm shaft, it should be pulled straight up to get out of the way of the positioning sleeve to avoid damaging the positioning sleeve and the rocker arm shaft.
Valve Crosshead Disassembly
Remove all valve crossheads. During disassembly, handle with care to prevent deformation or damage of the crossheads.
Disassembly of Fuel Injector Plunger Connecting Rod and Push Rod
When removing parts such as push rods, fuel injector connecting rods, rocker arms and cam followers, it is best to mark their positions. Because these parts have been run-in after a period of use, marking the positions helps to make more accurate adjustments during subsequent reinstallation. Simply remove the fuel injector plunger connecting rod and push rod.
